Raspberry and sparkling wine cocktail

by Lorena

New Years eve is just around the corner and of course there must be bubbles involved for the toast. That’s why I wanted to give you an option for a twist on a plain sparkling wine glass by adding a raspberry syrup. This raspberry and sparkling wine cocktail has the perfect balance of tangy and sweet.

I love how the glasses look with that brown sugar edge and it’s super easy to do. All you have to do is dip the very edge of the glass in water and then make the brown sugar stick to it. Then when you have a drink it’s super nice that it mixes with the sugar.

I’ve always liked to add a few raspberries to my sparkling wine glass and so this syrup is right up my alley. You can also do the same recipe with blackberries.

I also want to take this opportunity to wish you all a lovely 2018. It’s been a real pleasure to share my recipes with you guys and even more so to watch you make them and share them with your loved ones.

So cheers to the wonderful year that’s coming up. I hope that all your hopes, goals and dreams come true and that you accomplish everything you set your mind to.

  • Fill 1/4 of the glass with the syrup and then fill the rest with sparkling wine. Add a few raspberries so they float around.
